Anaerobic plants are an excellent choice for producing biogas and methane recovery from wet organic waste. The process has been around for more than 30 years.
Although well proven, many operators suffer with disposal of its residues (called digestate). The anaerobic process does not reduce the amount of volume fed into the system. Thus, 100% of organic material mixed with a lot of water, produces very large quantities of digestate, typically consisting of only 8% dry solids.
Ecozyne’s ‘ecoDRYER’ harnesses the surplus thermal energy left unused by your AD plant, and uses this to heat and dry the digestate. This ensures that running costs are minimal, and you are not only recycling the digestate, but also the heat of your AD system!
A rotary drum helps the granules of fertiliser form, and these are sterilised before being discharged from the machine. Unlike digestate, this output is biologically inactive and ready for immediate use. Typically, each batch takes around 22 hours, depending on the thermal heat available and the feedstock used.
Our system is highly automated, the feedstock is pumped into the ‘ecoDRYER’ automatically, all you have to do at the end is collect the fertiliser. We will also offer to buy the fertiliser from you, adding an additional revenue stream to compliment biogas production.
The application of the ‘ecoDRYER’ is not limited to AD operators; many other businesses can benefit from what the ‘ecoDRYER’ offers. The system can dry a variety of material such as:
Our dryer interacts with your AD plant on a number of levels, from feeding to utilisation of thermal energy. Therefore, understanding your current operation is our first priority when proposing a solution. Each dryer we design is unique to suit the customer, and we aim to provide only the most efficient and quality solutions.
We use the best materials and labour to produce our systems, and pride ourselves on the quality of our products. You can be sure our system will not only optimise your AD plant, but will be durable and long lasting, and to reflect this we provide competitive warranties and service contracts, contact us to learn more.
No problem, we can supply you with biomass or biogas boiler to create additional heat. Our boiler is capable of using many types of biomass, such as woodchip or oversize compost. Even the ash is not wasted, where it is blended in the ecoDRYER for better nutrient recovery.
