The ‘ecoREDUCER’ is a fully integrated waste management system that focuses upon the reduction of both the weight and volume of mixed waste. The waste is dried, compressed and pelletised before being discharged. Significantly, the system can be fed with any combination of waste, be it food waste, packaging, clinical waste or a mixture. Category 1 & 2 waste can also be processed and reduced in a safe and economical fashion.
What emerges from the ‘ecoREDUCER’ is typically reduced in volume and weight by 70% and 60% respectively. This makes the handling, storage and transportation of the output significantly easier and cheaper. Furthermore, the output has the potential to be used as a biomass fuel.
The system is fed through a hopper, which has an integrated shredder system that reduces the material size to roughly 12mm. It is then sanitised before being dried and compressed up to a 12:1 ratio in a reduction drying chamber. Once the process has ended, the output is discharged through a screw conveyor.
You can use the ‘ecoREDUCER’ to simply make savings on waste handling, or you can sell its output as a biomass fuel. Often, mixed waste containing foods has a high calorific content and once dried is highly combustible, making it an ideal sustainable source of heat and energy that can provide an additional revenue stream for your business!
